The
Elementary School
on
The Hus Square
The Primary
School on The Hus Square in Prostejov rised in the school year 1919-1920. The
school building was constructed in 1925-27 in accordance with the project of
ing. arch. J. Coufal. The first school classes started 3.1.1927 in this
building. In the south
front was locate a sculpture from Olga Konečná-Malaszová, it is decorates
with twenty-two lockets of the meaningful statues of the Czech nation - for
example Masaryk and Štefánik. The Primary
School is modernized now. It is a bulding with three floors, with a gymnasium
and playground. Our school has a special classrooms for chemistry, biology, we
have a physical laboratory, a music and an art romms, a language lab for
teaching foreign languages. There is locate a computer-room with twelve
computers on the second floor. From 1983 we
have specialize classrooms for children with defects of learning. Basic
